THE POWER OF AUTHENTICITY: 8:30am-10:15am
JWFNY kicks off The Convening – an inaugural gathering of visionary leaders, philanthropists, activists, and entrepreneurs – by welcoming each guest and enabling them to interact over breakfast with dynamic social entrepreneurs – our JEWELs (Jewish Entrepreneurial Women Executives and Leaders). Whether you work in an organization, support entrepreneurs, lead philanthropically, or run a business,
everyone can lead authentically. Featuring (in part):

  • A keynote about balancing entrepreneurship and philanthropy by

THE POWER OF COLLABORATION: 10:15am-12:00pm
Jewish women social entrepreneurs are driven by causes that compel them to find the courage to take risks and work extraordinarily hard. Hear from entrepreneurs and the people who support them. Featuring (in part):

  • A conversation about entrepreneurs using the power of the word with
  • A conversation about entrepreneurs making change on college campuses
    • Dana Levinson Steiner, Director, ACCESS Global at AJC Global Jewish Advocacy and
    • Rachel Sumekh, Founder and CEO, Swipe Out Hunger

THE POWER OF FOOD (lunch): 12:00pm-1:30pm
Some attendees will have a formal luncheon in honor of Barbara Tober and hear from this dynamic arts entrepreneur; they will also have the opportunity to interact more intimately with The Collective members. Others will enjoy a box lunch in the museum or on the lush grounds.

THE POWER OF PURPOSE: 1:30pm-2:30pm
Meet powerful women who use innovation to address challenges in new ways. Featuring (in part):

  • A conversation about the power a determined individual can have on an entire community with
    • Tamar Manessah, founder of MASK (Mothers/Men Against Senseless Killing)
    • Ruth Messinger, Global Ambassador, American Jewish World Service (AJWS)
  • A keynote about applying new solutions to old problems by

THE POWER OF DOING (choose one session): 2:30pm-4:00pm

  1. Ta’amod – experience the Jewish community’s response to gender harassment and abuse; or
  2. Visionary Circles –a hands-on recreation of how JWFNY women choose social entrepreneurs.

THE POWER OF NETWORKING: 4:00pm-5:30pm
In this final session, we’ll wrap up the day and everyone will have ample opportunity to chat, learn about each other, share contact information, and have a cocktail/mocktail, and snack together.
