Yavilah McCoy 

Yavilah McCoy is the CEO of DIMENSIONS Inc. She has spent the past 20 years working extensively in multi-faith communities and partnering specifically with the Jewish community to engage issues of diversity, equity and inclusion. Yavilah is a renowned educator, activist and spiritual practitioner. She is a Jewish woman and a person of color and has designed numerous tools and methods that enable students and educators to be better citizens of the world through exploring differences and reaching for tangible solutions in allied engagement. Yavilah is a certified trainer for ADL’s World of Difference Institute, National Conference for Community and Justice, and the National Coalition Buidling Institute. She is also a certified coach for the Auburn Theological Seminary Pastoral Training program. Yavilah holds a BA in English-Education from SUNY at Albany and a Judaic Studies Certificate of Education from Zaidner Institute. She currently resides in Boston. According to Yavilah, “visionary leadership is informed by the Jewish concept of believing in something that you cannot see especially when it comes to social justice work. Often we cannot yet see the idea that we dream is possible. Visionary leadership is encouraging others to see those possibilities with you, to trust you enough to follow you, and to believe in themselves to be agents of change.”
