Yael Rockman

Yael Rockman,  an attorney, is the Executive Director of Migdal Oz Beit Midrash For Women. She previously served as the Executive Director of Kolech. She has a master’s degree in Gender Studies and bachelor degrees in Psychology and Law all from Bar Ilan University. She was admitted to the Israeli Bar in 2004.  An Orthodox feminist activist, in 2002 Yael began working at Yad LaIsha and then in 2005 was a partner in the establishment of the Center for Women’s Justice.  In both roles, Yael was active in defending the rights of Jewish women denied their Get (religious divorce) by recalcitrant husbands.  In 2014 Yael joined the Board of Kolech and in 2015 she was appointed the organization’s Executive Director.
